My favorite müsli recipes
Bircher Müsli
500 gr rolled oats
2 liters milk
5 apples
250 gr coarsely ground almonds
Honey
Orange juice
3-4 bananas
Preparation:
Soak the oats in milk, add grated aples. Roast the almonds in a pan until golden, then add them to the oats and apples. Season with 3 or 4 tablespoons of honey and add ca. 150-200 ml orange juice for a fresh, fruity taste. Let the mixture soak over night. If required, fold in some freshly whipped cream the next day (made from ca. 500-750 ml cream). Add some chopped bananas just before serving.
Knusper Müsli
750 gr sunflower seeds
500 gr rolled oats
Honey
Brown sugar
Preparation:
Roast the oats and sunflower seeds with some 100 gr brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey at low temperatures until golden and let them cool off. If the mixture sticks together, break up with a spoon. Enjoy with joghurt of your choice.
